Amber's 5th Birthday!

Amber celebrated her 5th birthday at Kiddie Mia's. She was so surprised to see two of her very best friends, Laurel & Jacy walk in dressed as Hannah Montana! They looked just adorable!

She received tons upon tons of Hanna Montana toys, clothes and makeup. Needless to say, she was one happy 5yr old!
She and I had alot of fun making personalized candy bars to put in the goodie bags.
I can't believe my little girl is getting so big!

Halloween 2008

One of our favorite Holidays is Halloween.
It is so much fun!

Amber dressed as "Hanna Montana". She has begged me for the Hanna Montana wig for months and I finally gave in and bought it for her costume. It was sooo cute but didn't take long to look my my hair does first thing in the morning! haha

Austin spent the evening "cruising the neighborhood" with the guys. I guess he feels he's officially too old to trick-or-treat...I can still remember his first Halloween dressed like the cutest little clown at the Fall Festival at our church.

Hope you all had fun and got lots of candy!

Afternoon at Norton Art Gallery

The kids and I spent the afternoon Sunday taking pictures at Norton Art Gallery. You couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather.

The best part of the afternoon for Austin was finding the bronze Razorback (go Hogs !!!). I told him I had seen a picture of it on the website for the gallery. Halfway through our stroll, I think he began to think I was crazy. We saw lots of other statutes, but we didn't find the Razorback until the very end of the day. He raced to the car to retrieve his Arkansas Razoback jersey & hat; ready to strike a pose. Like father; like son.

The best part of the day for Amber was seeing three or four brides having their wedding photos made. She was in awe of them. She told me "I'm getting married to Bubba and we're getting our picture done here today". It was so cute.

Hope you enjoy some of the pics we took on our day out.

Easter 2008

We began our Easter Holiday by watching Amber participate in a Fashion Show at Belk Department Store. She was so psyched about it. When it came to "show time" she was a bit shy, but did everything she was supposed to. As well, her friend from daycare was in the show with her so that made it extra fun.

That night we pulled out the card table and all of the egg decorating supplies. I have to admit, I have just as much fun as the kids do.

After the egg coloring was done, Amber announced that she was going to cook a snack in her Easy Bake oven for the Easter Bunny. She decorated the snack with LOTS of sprinkles and sat it out on the table and off to bed. After she fell asleep, Austin completed his job; he ate the Easter Bunny's snack. I think he enjoys that this is his tradition.

The kids woke up and ran to their baskets. They were filled with lots of candy, books, Silly String and a Water Balloon kit. They searched for the eggs the Easter Bunny had hid and then it was time for a Silly String and Water Balloon fight. It was an absolute blast!

The best part of Easter was talking to the kids about the true meaning of Easter. It filled my heart with joy to explain to the kids that the Lord loves them always.
